Slavo Cech has been living and creating sculpture in Edmonton, Canada for the last 30 years taking steel and wrought iron and forging it into delicate and beautiful abstract sculptures. 

After studying art history and painting Slavo started by exploring a variety of other media. In the 30 years since, he has created beautifully formed sculptures on an intimate scale as well as large site specific show pieces, all with his characteristic softness of line and curve, intricacy, strength and sense of movement and fluidity.

His latest work shows the skill and maturity that 30 years brings to his chosen art form. These latest studies take their inspiration from grass reeds and re-imagines them as beautiful abstract sculptures painted in a variety of metallic complimentary colours.
